ZONING CODE UPDATE

The last codified amendment to the Middleton Township Zoning Resolution can be reviewed by clicking on the "Existing Zoning Resolution" link at the left. On April 9, 2007, the Trustees approved a Zoning Resolution amendment establishing a S.R. 25 and S.R. 582 Overlay District. The Middleton Township Zoning Commission has been working on a draft containing a number of proposed amendments to the Zoning Code. The current draft of the proposed Zoning Amendment can be reviewed using the link at the left. This working draft also contains the new S.R. 25 and S.R. 582 Overlay District.

Your comments on the proposed amendment can be shared with the Zoning Commission by directing them to the Zoning Inspector at the address above, or may be given in person at any of the regularly scheduled Zoning Commission meetings.

When ready, the Zoning Commission or the the Board of Trustees will initiate these proposed amendments to the Zoning Code. The Ohio Revised Code requires the Zoning Commission to seek a recommendation from the County Planning Commission and to hold an advertised public hearing to seek comments from the public. The recommendations of the Zoning Commission and the County Planning Commission are to be forwarded to the Trustees, who will also hold an advertised public hearing to seek comments from the public before making a decision on the amendment.
