Campbell's Soup Company/AMCOR

PDG was the lead design consultant for all disciplines for a 65,000 s.f. blow molding plant for beverage bottles. PDG designed all aspects of the project in house including site, structural, architectural, mechanical, process utilities and electrical. Some of the special systems include a 500-ton chilled and cooling water system which has a free cooling cycle for no mechanical cooling 50% of all operating hours, custom designed facility management system, 650 PSIG compressed air system, economizer cycle with comparative enthalpy control and building pressurization, high voltage substation and distribution system.

Spartan Steel Coating
PDG designed a new coating plant for Spartan Steel. The project involves several aspects, including a $3 million process cooling water system including a subterranean 132,000 gallon reservoir, thermal exchange building, cooling towers and distribution piping. We are also providing project administration of the installation of the new $4 million thermal recovery system and rapid jet cooling systems for an existing hot dip galvanizing line to increase line speed and run modern dual phase coil steel for the auto industry. PDG engineers are providing design for a process utilities and controls for furnace support systems, and design of all structural modifications to accommodate the new furnace systems equipment, access platforms and line rollers.
