HIGH-BAY FABRICATION SHOP
PDG provided full A/E design services for a new 75,000 s.f. high-bay steel fabrication facility and attached 7,000 s.f. corporate office for the company operating the Toledo shipyard which is owned by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority. The facility features a 90’ span, full length, overhead crane system capable of supporting three (3) 60-ton bridge cranes with a hook height of 50’ above finished floor. The building also has accommodation for a 75’ L x 50’H operable side wall door to allow complete fabrication of Great Lakes cargo ships up to 850’ in length in modules which are then assembled in one of the shipyard’s two drydock slips.
