Clark County Sport Shooting Park Master Plan

PDG developed the master plan for this $19 million, 2,900 acre world-class sport shooting park which will be the largest public recreational shooting range in the country. This facility will provide the venue for all recreational shooting activities including rifle, pistol, trap, skeet and sporting clay shooting ranges as well as an archery range. The park is designed for local use as well as national competitions and includes a campground area. Preliminary engineering included surveys, soil investigation, utility and right-of-way investigations, and a paleontological resources study. Completion of Phase I is scheduled for October of 2007.

Bass Pro World Store
PDG has been retained by Bass Pro Shops of Springfield, Missouri, to provide the civil and landscape architectural design components for the proposed Bass Pro Outdoor World Store and new roadway and utility systems in the City of Rossford. PDG expertise and relationships with the local and state agencies are permitting the project to move forward with the design and approval process at a pace unseen by Bass Pro on similar projects. Through constant communications initiated by PDG on behalf of Bass Pro, local jurisdictions are kept up to date on design progress while Bass Pro is kept abreast on unique local conditions that could affect its schedule for opening the new store.

The proposed attractive 150,000 square foot store and restaurant will occupy 28 acres that will position the store for maximum visibility from Interstate 75 while the main entrance will face the rest of the 300 acres of land purchased. The proposed store is the anchor for anticipated complimentary retail, entertainment and other mixed use opportunities. As part of the initial development of the 230 acre parcel of land, Bass Pro will also be installing over 7000 feet of upgraded storm, water, sanitary and roadways improvements. The Rossford, Ohio, store represents the first such business to utilize a recent state legislative program that was passed to attract regional "Impact Developments" to the State of Ohio by offering sales tax incentives to the businesses.
